TNL Radio’s flagship event TNL Onstage clinched the award for Top Fashionable Contest at the recent Fashion Asia 2013 Awards.

The win for the Sri Lankan radio network comes despite a closely contested category that included other large events from Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Thailand and China.

TNL Onstage is an annual talent show for musicians and artists of all genres and has been running since 1999.

The show claims to precede similar contests including internationally acclaimed shows such as American Idol and X Factor

The contest builds on new media and technology to give its audience the most interactive and immersive experience of any show in Sri Lanka.

The award was given out at a grand awards ceremony organized in Chengdu, China on October 30.

The Fashion Asia Awards are described as the Oscars for the region’s Fashion Industry.
