Malaysian digital entrepreneurs get radio help

As part of government plans to encourage more technopreneurs, Malaysian stations Red FM and Capital FM are welcoming successful digital business owners to talk about their experiences.

Entrepreneurs Janice Yap who founded the app development studio Alphapod and Joann Soon who developed bill separator software Owe$ome will take part in two separate Breakfast Show discussions on Capital Radio over the next month, sharing tips on how to accelerate digital businesses.

“We are glad to have the opportunity to share our experience with Capital FM listeners. We hope our stories would be an inspiration to listeners who are keen to venture in entrepreneurship.” the pair said.

Meanwhile, Red FM’s will host Tzu Ming, who heads web analytics firm Persuasion Technologies; Vincent Lee Hong Fay, founder of Wavelet Solutions and Khailee Ng from the micro start-up fund 500 Durians.

“Being entrepreneurs is challenging but a great learning curve. We believe that our stories could help listeners who plan to venture into business and in need of the boost and support. This is a great opportunity for us to share and support them.” said Vincent Lee and Khailee Ng.

The two Star Radio Group stations say they are backing plans by Malaysia’s Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to help the country to become the preferred location for ICT and multimedia innovations.
