Revathy Bawadaskumar – a popular DJ on Astro Radio Malaysia’s Tamil station THR Raaga – has ventured into movies and made her directorial debut with ‘Vivaagaarathu’.

‘Vivaagaarathu’, which means divorce in Tamil, is based on a number of true stories plucked from the young urban Indian society in Malaysia, where divorce rates are at an all-time high.

Its storyline revolves around seven married couples who are on the verge of divorce and how they deal with the prospect of their marriages breaking up.

The film stars Nanba Vj, Kavitha Chetty, Ben G, Nookaladevi, Pragash Sangaran, Logesshiine and Aghonderan Sahadevan.

It was released nationwide in 23 local theatres on June 26, when the entire cast also watched it with the Director at two separate screenings.
