One of Sri Lanka’s top Sinhala radio stations Hiru FM celebrated its 16th Anniversary on Tuesday with the launch of a special song performed by its DJs.
The video, filmed right next to station’s studios at the World Trade Centre in Colombo, has been uploaded to Social Media for fans.
Launched on July 1, 1998, Hiru FM is well known for its popular Sinhala language shows and has even spawned a TV station.
It is one of five stations owned by Asia Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) under the leadership of Raynor Silva.
Over the years, the station has been lauded for its news and entertainment as well as coverage of humanitarian issues and has won many awards.
