Thai station hosts Myanmar delegation

Radio Thailand Ranong – based on the Thai-Myanmar border – recently hosted a radio team from its neighbouring country.

The delegration from an unnamed Myanmar station observed the production of a Thai-Burmese programme, reports the National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT).

The visit was an opportunity to build relations between the mass media authorities of the two countries.

The Myanmar delegation observed the production of the bilingual show ‘Mingalaba Ranong’, which airs on 107.25 MHz in Ranong in Thailand and also reaches into Kawthaung Township of Myanmar.

The programme has been running for two years and – according to its producers – aims to strengthen relationships between the two neighbours in business, investment and tourism.
