Malhotra Hegde quits Radio Mirchi owner

After 10 years, Radio Mirchi’s legal head Vanditta Malhotra Hegde is leaving the company.

Employed by Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL), which runs the 43 station network, Malhotra Hegde is to set up her own business, reports exchange4media.com.

A well-known legal name in the media and entertainment industry, Malhotra Hegde has  been credited for the success of the station’s legal strategies over copyright licensing, royalties and other industry issues.

She began her career with one of India’s oldest law firms Mulla & Mulla, Craigie, Blunt & Caroe, Solicitors and Advocates.

Her new law firm will be called ‘Singh & Singh, Malhotra & Hegde’ and will be based in Mumbai.

It will offer legal advisory on Intellectual Property (IP) Rights and hopes to eventually become a fully-fledged law firm.
