Red Bandstand showcases new talent

India’s 93.5 Red FM launched its new property – Red Bandstand, as a platform for upcoming independent local musicians.

Its latest on-ground performance showcased the band Bolly jazz at Delhi’s Khan Market on Saturday evening.

The band played popular bollywood tunes partially following jazz traditions and featured various collaborating musicians.

Red Bandstand was launched with a performance by the band ‘Anantara’ at Shankar Market in New Delhi on September 6.

It aims to help independent musicians reach the masses through live performances at well-known locations across major Indian cities.

The stations will also support these bands on its its digital platforms.

Commenting on the property, Nisha Narayanan, COO, Red FM told exchange4media: “Independent music scene in India has gathered pace in the last couple of years and its consumption is no longer restricted to specialised clubs and select gatherings.”
