RTHK ‘top story’ contest returns

Hong Kong’s RTHK Radio 3 is back with ‘Hong Kong’s Top Story’ competition in association with South China Morning Post (SCMP).

This year’s theme is ‘Reborn’ and there are two entry categories.

Hong Kong residents aged 12 to 17 can apply in the Juniors category while those above 18 can apply in the Seniors category.

They have to write a short story of 1,500 to 2,000 words for a chance to win a book collection and the title of Top Story writer.

Judges from the public broadcaster and SCMP will decide the winners.

The winning entries will also be published in SCMP and broadcast on RTHK Radio 3.

Last year, the theme for the competition was ‘Celebration’ which saw Bianca Chan win the Juniors category while Crystal Koo picked up the Seniors prize.
