Dave Cleary, the host of ‘Mornings with Dave Cleary’ on Radio 2 was chosen ‘Best Radio DJ’ at the Ahlan! Awards Dubai 2014.

Cleary, who has previously worked at many stations across the UK, Europe and Middle East, is fondly called ‘Sir David’ by the station staff.

Ahlan! Awards are celebration of Dubai’s finest giving away ‘people’s choice’ awards to nominees across 21 categories.

After two months of voting in September and October, a record 53,085 votes were received for the awards and the winners were announced.

Other radio awards handed out by the magazine were to Tag 91.1’s Louie da Costa for Best Female Personality and Kris Fade from Virgin Radio Dubai for Best Male Personality.
