Love and YES share S’pore top spot

Singapore’s Y.E.S. 93.3FM and Love 97.2FM share the top position as the most listened to radio stations in the country, according to the latest Nielson Radio Diary Survey.

Both Chinese language stations shared 20 percent listenership in the most recent research conducted during September and October.

Y.E.S.93.3 FM has been at the top spot in Singapore for the last 20 years but in the past two surveys has seen its audience fall slightly.

Love 972 climbed from 18.5 percent in the April/May research period.

YES and Love were followed by another Chinese station Capital 95.8 FM, with a listenership of 18.6 percent.

All three stations are owned by Singapore’s largest broadcaster MediaCorp.

Rebecca Yap, Vice-President for Chinese Programming, Radio Division, MediaCorp said:  “We will continue to engage and entertain our listeners and business partners with upsized content and great offerings.”
