India’s 92.7 BIG FM has elevated its Mumbai Sales Head Jay Mehta to the position of Station Head.

Mehta’s primary responsibility in his new role will be to ensure profitability and deliver value to listeners as well as advertisers.

He will report to Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head, 92.7 BIG FM.

Mehta joined the station in August and carries over a decade’s work experience with companies like Uninor, Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications.

He holds a degree in Masters in Management Studies (MMS) from Chetana College Mumbaii.

Speaking on his appointment, Ashwin Padmanabhan said: “His relationship skills and ability to understand clients’ requirements and offer suitable solutions is phenomenal. We couldn’t have found anyone more apt for this role.

On his appointment, Jay Mehta said: “My clear focus going forward is to make BIG FM synonymous with radio, to increase revenue share and to build a strong cohesive team.”
