11-year old Vaibhav Kanaad from Mumbai is the winner of India’s BIG 92.7 FM’s contest to identify kids with a talent for radio.

The month-long ‘BIG FM Junior RJ Hunt’ spanned 45 cities and was judged by popular comic Kiku Sharda.

The contest attracted thousands of participants and gave each city finalist a chance to co-host the evening show.

Kanaad, the winner from Mumbai, won the grand finale and also got an opportunity to appear on a TV comedy show.

Speaking of his win, an excited Vaibhav said: “The entire journey has been fun and I consider myself lucky to have received this chance.”

Celebrity judge Kiku Sharda commented: “It was particularly difficult to judge the kids at the finale stage because they were all brilliant, spontaneous, funny and quick-witted.”
