Class 95 host Glenn Ong leaves MediaCorp

Mediacorp’s Class 95 FM host Glenn Ong has left the company after working with it for 19 years.

Ong was the host of The Morning Express show and his departure comes just two weeks after his former co-host Mark Van Cuylenburg – better known as The Flying Dutchman – quit the organisation.

Ong’s radio broadcasting career began with the then Radio Corporation of Singapore in January 1995 and he spent 8 years with Perfect 10, now 987 FM, before moving to Class 95 FM in 2003.

In a statement, Ong said: “After 19 years at the top of the Class, it’s time for me to take a break! I’d like to pursue more sleep, travel and go for MMA workouts every day! I’ve never liked saying goodbye so I won’t!”

Georgina Chang, Vice President of English Programming (Music) for Radio at MediaCorp, told Channel News Asia: “We’re disappointed to see Glenn leave, but understand his decision and wish him all the best for the future.”
