ABU conference in Papua New Guinea in August

The ABU Pacific Media Partnership Conference (PMPC) 2016 is scheduled to be held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, from August 24 to 27.

The conference facilitates learning, gathering of information and sharing experiences through its workshops, visit to facilities and discussions.

This year’s conference will focus on how broadcasters could protect public free-to-air broadcasting.  Some of the key requirements identified to lead the discussions and deliberations are to ensure the desired availability and technical quality of public service media services across various distribution platforms and on ubiquitous devices.

Workshops and conference also aims to discuss both technical and non-technical (regulatory, market, business, etc.) strategies to protect Public Service Media-PSM delivery as a free-to-air broadcasting.

A guided tour will enable delegates to experience the facilities of a broadcaster.

To register, visit www.abu.org.my/PMPC.
